Three New Nordica Collections

From the first time we put on a ski boot, to our first controlled snow-plow stop, to our first glory run under the main chair, to the first time we venture off trail …  skiing is, first and foremost, a boundless adventure in which we constantly strive to expand and enlarge our comfort zone.

Since 1939, Nordica has been designing, manufacturing and marketing ski equipment that not only enhances skier comfort, but that also helps skiers and expand and enlarge their comfort zones.

As these three new collections will attest, Nordica has never waivered in its commitment.

Introducing Nordica Strider Boots

The all-new Strider ski boot collection marks Nordica’s official entry into the fast growing hike and ski category. Remarkably lightweight, warm and comfortable, Strider boots are designed to increase skier comfort and expand their comfort zone whether they’re hiking uphill, skiing downhill or walking from the lifts to the car or the village.

Every Strider uses a new lightweight plastic construction, Triax cuffs, weight-saving bails and buckles, and lightweight mesh power straps to reduce fatigue without sacrificing strength, durability or skiing power. Slack- or sidecountry skiers can now hike farther, faster, and ski harder with less strain, less work and less effort. Designed exclusively for Nordica, patented, high-traction Michelin soles, with rockered toes and heels provide surefooted comfort on ice, snow, cobblestones and pavement.

Strider boots are also every boot fitter’s best friend, thanks to Nordica’s revolutionary, comfort enhancing, tri-fit customization system. Time-tested, 3-D light cork fit liners enhance all-day comfort, while ultra-warm Primaloft insulation keeps toes toasty warm even in cold and wet conditions.

Revolutionary Nordica Astral Ski For Women

Nordica calls its new Astral line of women-centric, freeride skis the keys to the mountain. A closer look inside reveals why. Astral skis combine three proven Nordica technologies. The result is an incomparably light yet powerful, precise yet versatile, serious yet playful ski. The tips are inspired by Nordica’s award-winning, big mountain, freeride Santa Ana. That is to say, they can slice and dice through anything Mother Nature dishes out. The squared-off tails, like those found on Nordica Sentra and Dobermann race skis, significantly increase stability and carving power, most notably at the end of turn. Now if all that muscle sounds overwhelming, relax.  Nordica Astrals are remarkably light and manoeuvrable, thanks to their Titanium Hex Bridge construction and sustainable-growth, Balsa wood cores. This proven combination reduces weight, minimizes chatter and maximizes strength, power and durability. Ladies, start your engines.

The result is an entire family of playful, super skier-friendly, all-terrain, all-conditions, all-mountain skis that can carve effortless arcs on groomed and handle hard snow with aplomb yet tame almost anything you’ll find anytime you venture off-trail.
