Felix Neurether extends his agreement with Nordica for 4 more years. The German slalom and giant slalom champion sets long-term equipment support for World Cup competition and for the 2018 Olympic Games in Pyeongchang.
Giavera del Montello, May 8th 2014 - Nordica, the Italian ski and ski boot manufacturer, announced that the German ski ace Felix Neureuther has extended his contract with the brand for four more years. "I am pleased to be able to run again on the best skis and boots of the market to be able to confirm the good results of the past season. Nordica and I just fit perfectly together, " says the nine-time World Cup winner from Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
“Great Mutual Confidence”
Rumors of Neureuther’s potential change to a different ski and boot supplier have been silenced. "The fact that the athletes test various ski brand materials at the end of the season is quite common, and it's always interesting knowing what the competition is doing. But in this case, thinking about a switch was simply not wise. Fellix is aware that Nordica offers him a perfect set-up to compete at the World Cup level for the coming years that will be critical to his career. The materials and the whole team are fit perfectly with him," explains Bernie Knauss Nordica racing manager. " Felix has become the flagship for the German Team as he has already obtained great results and he has a great potential to go even further in the future. His friendly and open approach match perfectly with our Team and the brand Nordica. We have a great mutual confidence." said Knauss.
Asian Holiday delays Contract Signature
After the exhausting Olympic season that resulted in nine World Cup podiums, including four victories, Neureuther scheduled a well-deserved holiday to rejuvenate and organize his goals for the upcoming season. Upon his return, he made clear his intention to continue his cooperation with Nordica. With his equipment set-up organized, Neureuther is turning his attention to his goals for the coming World Cup and World Championship season. Having missed the Crystal Ball in the slalom World Cup by only 15 points, motivation will not be in short supply.
